About Me

I fell in love with web development when I discovered how much I enjoy building applications to manage my ballet instruction business. Coding is like a puzzle. When I put the pieces together correctly and it works I get a rush. I strive for cleanliness and simplicity and in my UX/UI and code, which improve with new project I create. My layouts are responsive, with mobile-first design. A developer can always grow and perfect her craft. For that reason, I am a lifelong learner. When I'm not coding, I'm teaching a dance class, traveling to explore a new city, or I'm at home eating doughnuts while surfing the web.

Projects

Student Portal

As the owner of Ballet Body by Jasmin, a beginning ballet program for adults, I am both the developer and consumer of my software products. I created Student Portal out of a need to provide my ballet students with a convenient way of purchasing classes and reviewing a list of their purchase history.

Quotumblr

I love a good quote, especially when I happen upon one serendipitously and it makes my day. A fun API hack, this responsive web application integrates with two third-party APIs: Tumblr and FavQ's. The user starts with entering their Tumblr username, then selects a text post from their Tumblr feed. Quotumblr chooses a random word from the selected post, then using FavQ's API, returns a quote containing that word.
